KING OF THE JUNGLE RULES

The TIGG KOTJ is an INVITATIONAL Online Tour. It is primarily a singles tour, however there is also a team element, which is detailed below. The OVERALL tour shall run from 1st January to 31st December each year. This tour is fully automated, therefore at the end of each tour ALL scores are reset and points / money totals calculated and assigned automatically. On January ALL accumlated points and monies are also reset. No allowances are made for any member that does not complete any round.

SINGLES SECTION
Each tour consists of two rounds of 18 holes ( 36 holes in total ) to be shot in STROKE format. These rounds shall last for one week each, making each tour a TWO week event. The courses and conditions for each round are displayed at various places over the TIGG site, but all of them may be viewed on the SCHEDULES page.

To gain any money in the tour both rounds must be completed for each tour.

You must play each round with at least one other TIGG member, once the game has been completed each player must report their OWN SCORES using the REPORT page.

Added per discussion in forum 11/2006 - Round 1 scores can be played after round ends as long as they are done online with another TIGG Member and a scorecard is submited to TIGG Admins before round 2 ends. Round 2 can be played offline within 24 hrs. of end of Tour, but you must submit a scorecard and verify file, please keep in mind 2 things;, 1 - I don't think you can use gimmes and still get a verify file, 2 - Please try to get round to admin ASAP, if you send in round with say only 15 min. left in Tour, you may not get it posted. You can however submit ur files then post your score thru the report page, but if your files are not accepted you will be penelized.

*** IMPORTANT *** If a score of -20 or better is shot for any normal round, then verification of the score is required. This can either be a screen-shot of the end scorecard or a TXT file taken from saving the scorecard at the end of game. Once you have reported your score that requires verification you will automatically be taken to a page to send in your file. You are not required to send your verification in at this time BUT if no verification is recieved within 3 days of a posted score of -20 or better the score shall be deleted and the round will have to be replayed.

Once a member has completed a Tour Round they are allowed to attest another player to help complete their rounds. You MUST NOT attest another player until you have COMPLETED your round for that tour.

Money shall be awarded for all players who complete both rounds in each tour, with the winner being the person that shoots the lowest score over both rounds, however there shall be no tie for 1st place. Should a tie occur the there will be an 18 hole play-off to decide a winner. In the event of a tie at the end of the 18 holes the match will go to sudden death until an overall winner is decided. The course and conditions for the play-off will be any course and conditions set for the tour where the tie occured and is to be agreed upon by all players in the play-off.

** All play-off's, whether a 2 way play-off or submitting of play-off stroke scores shall be played and reported within a week of the Tour ending where the tie took place. Failure to report the results / scores within the required week will result in the player (s) being excluded from the play-off and the winner being decided from the player (s) that have submitted results / scores. In the event of no player in the tie reporting any play-off results the winner shall be decided at random from those players in the tie. **

When a winner is decided the LOSER ( or any loser in the case of more than a two way tie ) shall report the result. The report can be made at the normal report page, where a link shall appear if there is a tie that requires a play-off, or by going to the Tour Winners page and follwing the links.

Once a winner has been decided the TOP 3 places shall be awarded a trophy which can be viewed at the TOUR WINNERS page and all places shall be awarded money as detailed below. Clicking on the winners trophies will display the scorecard for the tour.

The winnings for each tour shall be accumulated until the 1st December each year. From here the TOP 16 players shall be selected and entered into an elimination bracket competition where the pairings are all randomized. These games shall be played in either STROKE or MATCH format, to be decided upon by both players at the start of each match, and shall be played until an outright winner is decided. The LOSER of these games shall report the loss at the normal report page.

These games MUST be completed by the end of December, if for any reason they cannot be competed the TIGG admin must be contacted, either by E-mail, forum message or ICQ. The contact details can be found on the CONTACT US page.

To give everyone a chance to play their games each round must be played within a week. Failure to do so, with no valid reason will result in the following:-

If a player contacts us, and states that they have not heard from his opponent, and the match goes un-played, the person contacting us will be given the win.
If both players contact us, and state that they have not heard from their opponent, and the match goes un-played, the match will be considered not played, and a BYE will be put in that bracket, and neither player moves on.
If neither of the players contacts us, and the match goes un-played, the match will be considered not played, and a BYE will be put in that bracket.

At the end of December when all games have been completed there shall be an overall TIGG - KOTJ GRAND CHAMPION and this player shall be awarded the GRAND CHAMPION trophy and will be displayed on the CHAMPIONS page along with all previous Grand Champions.

On January 1st of each year the overall tour shall start over.

TEAM SECTION
Should 3 or more players register under the same team name then that team shall automatically be entered into the team section of the tour.

The team aspect of the tour runs along side the singles tour and requires no extra playing of games at all, unless there is a tie at the end of a tour or at the year end for TEAM GRAND CHAMPION. The 3 best scores are taken for each team on each tour and averaged out, then displayed on the TOUR LEADERBOARD. At the end of each tour the winning team is the one with the lowest average score.

There are trophies awarded to the TOP 3 teams in each tour and points awarded accordingly. There are no ties for the team section of the KOTJ tour. If there is a tie at the end of the tour for either 1st, 2nd or 3rd place then a play-off is required to determine the overall places. If play-off is required the Teams in the play-off and their top 3 shooters will be shown on the TOUR WINNERS page. One player from the TOP 3 in each team is requiered to play ONE 18 hole play-off match to resolve the place tie. These games shall be played using the conditions from the tour where the tie took place, in either STROKE or MATCH format, to be decided upon by players at the start of each match, and shall be played until an outright winner is decided.

When a winner is decided the LOSER ( or any loser in the case of more than a two way tie ) shall report the result. The report can be made at the normal report page, where a link shall appear if there is a tie that requires a play-off, or by going to the TOUR WINNERS page and follwing the links.

Once a winner has been decided the TOP 3 places shall be awarded a trophy which can be viewed at the TOUR WINNERS page, and points shall be awarded as detailed below. Clicking on the winners trophies will display the scorecard for the tour.

The points awarded at the end of each tour are as follows:-

1st Place
-
1,000 points
2nd Place
-
750 points
3rd Place
-
500 points
Remaining Teams - 250 points

These points will be accumulated until 1st December each year. No points will be awarded through December as players are in an elimination tour. At the end of the year the team with the most points will be awarded a TIGG TEAM GRAND CHAMPION trophy. Should there be a tie for first place a play-off will be required to decide an overall winner. The course and conditions for the play-off will be any course and conditions set for the tour where the tie occured and is to be agreed upon by all players in the play-off.

The play-off will take the same format as a Tour end play-off with one of the TOP 3 players for the teams in the tie playing a match until a overall winner is decided. On January 1st ALL accumulated points will be resest and the overall tour shall start over.

MONTHLY SHOOTOUT RULES

The MONTHLY SHOOTOUT tournament is basically an open IHT style event that is open to any member that joins the TIGG Tour. This tour will run on a monthly basis, running from the 1st day of the month to the last day of the month.

The tour is set over 10 rounds which are all played on one course and one set of conditions, the idea being to have a few attempts at shooting your best round. Your scores are then totalled and an average is calculated for the month using the best 6 rounds shot. The winner for the month is the person that has the best average score and has completed more than 6 rounds for that particular month.

Each round can be played at any time within the month, and MUST be played with another TIGG member. On completion of your round each player shall report their OWN score.

Ties will be allowed for top three places, and at the end of every month the winner(s) shall be awarded a "Monthly Shootout Winner" trophy.

GENERAL RULES

New members joining the tour will start with 0 points, but if they join and the current tour is in round 2 they are allowed to have a TIGG member attest them for Round 1 of the current tour. When they have shot the round REPORT THE SCORE TO A TOUR ADMINISTRATOR who will then post into the scoreboard. If they are joining under a team name any score they shoot for future rounds will be included in the Team Points section if they are in the TOP 3 for their team.

No member of any team participating in the TIGG Tour is allowed to have more than ONE name( nickname ), or to play for more than one team at a time. If a player is caught using two or more names or while playing on two or more teams, all the scores played under those names will be deleted.

Drop Rule: You are allowed to drop in a straight line back from where the ball entered the hazard. There is no limit on the distance you can drop back, but it must not be to either side, and only in a line straight back from where the ball entered the hazard. You are allowed to drop all the way back to the Tee box or spot the ball was originally hit from if necessary. Links 2k3 allows a drop of approximately 2 club lengths to either side and as far back as you like.

Fast Play is allowed in the TIGG tour but it is not encouraged. If there are any disputes or disagreements that occurred during a Fast Play match that can not be settled between the players, the match will be declared NULL and VOID.

CHIPPING on the GREEN is forbidden unless there is fringe, fairway, sand trap, or other obstacle which obstructs the path to the hole. Any player who breaks any of these rules will have their score for that round DELETED..

Any and all rules violations will be settled by TIGG Administrators.

Putting Assistant in not allowed and all players must use the TOUR MOP's which have the Putt Asst. disabled.

Default Game Settings are:
Mulligans = YES (Only when Resuming a Dropped Game!)

Gimmies = Yes (2 feet)

Tee = Back

The conditions on the SCHEDULES page are listed in the format ( WIND / GREEN FIRMNESS / GREEN SPEED / PIN POSITION ) eg. B / F / F / M = Breezy / Firm / Fast / Moderate Pins. If a number represents the pin position this indicates that all pins should be set to that custom pin number. e.g. B / F / F / #4 = custom pin position #4 for ALL greens.

Dropped games due to technical problems shall resume at the hole where they were dropped. This is the ONLY time where Mulligans can be used! The Mulligans are used so that the Players can get their balls back to the approximate position they were at when the game was dropped!

TOUR MOP's may be downloaded HERE

Thank you for taking the time to read these rules.
